What the af, Kevin Arnold? Fred's been booted as the executive producer and director of The Wonder Years reboot after an investigation into allegations of "inappropriate conduct" was launched. This is how it went down:
"Recently, we were made aware of allegations of inappropriate conduct by Fred Savage, and as is policy, an investigation was launched. Upon its completion, the decision was made to terminate his employment as an executive producer and director of The Wonder Years."
Well, this one stuck. Because after prior "internal investigations" after allegations in 2018 and 2019, there wasn't "cause." Perhaps somebody made it all go away. Oh, yeah. There was that one settlement back in 2019 when Fred harmed a costumer on the set of "The Grinder".
Attorney Anahita Seda, who represented said costumer, isn't surprised:
“This was a long time coming and I am not the least bit surprised. When my client came to me in 2018 with her allegations against Mr. Savage, we discovered that there was at least one lawsuit that had been filed against him in the past and that Mr. Savage had allegedly engaged in this type of behavior not just towards my client but other women as well. It is unfortunate that it took my client speaking out and now reportedly these others before action was finally taken.”
Oh, wait. There was a second settlement in 1993. Monique Long said she couldn't do her job and was fired because Savage asked to hold her hand, asked her if she wanted to have an affair with him, and other gross shizz.
You know what? It's just as easy to be a stand-up person as it is to be a POS. And by "stand up" I don't mean making your ween stand up so you can harass women.
